Tū Māia 2023 noho wānanga for our Tāmaki Makaurau learning hub started at Te Mahurehure Marae in Tāmaki Makaurau.

Hear from our kaimahi on their expectations of Tū Māia and their experience at their first noho wānanga.

Rose Hawkins I guess I want to become more familiar with some waiata with ways that things are done in different rohe, different, different tikanga, different kawa, just, just hear that, that stuff being talked about, so that I can understand it just more, for my kete, for my mahi.

Jennifer Cassidy And I’m really excited about sharing this worldview with people in the education and health spaces, and, and supporting our staff to make sure that we are inclusive of whānau in our processes.

Grainne Mallon It’s such a great opportunity for kaimahi at all different levels in the organisation, to, to grow and to learn, so I’m just really excited about the future and what’s, the next kinda 18 weeks.

Bill Searle What this course has given me, is a far deeper understanding of, how to apply the concepts in my workplace.

Tessa Iese-Oaariki And being able to be frank with aroha, be pono with aroha, to my colleagues, and challenge them in some of their whakaaro around how they view, particular ideas or ideology, especially with Te Ao Māori.
