Tim Wetherall

Tim Wetherall, Manager Clinical Services was a participant in our Tū Māia 2024 cohort in Te Waipounamu.

Tim heard about Tū Māia through some fellow colleagues who encouraged him to attend.

Hear from Tim and his experience on Tū Māia below.

I first heard about it when one of my colleagues applied to attend. So that was in the first cohort when I first moved to Canterbury and I wasn't too sure about it. But I, I'd read some information about it and it was through feedback from her and then feedback from two other colleagues who did Tū Māia, their recommendation that it was a really essential course to do really good. I found the dialogue was always really good. The teachers of the course were open, willing to share, open to sort of
challenge gently, but they provided a space for us to bring our own views and we could converse and kōrero around that.

I think noho, Akaroa was really wonderful.  And the setting and prescence there, building relationships with my colleagues has been quite a positive thing because you get a sweep aross multiple roles, like people you never interact with prior to, and it helps sort of build those relationships that whanaungatanga with other people.
