Ko Tangimangaone Pewhairangi taku ingoa, ā, he uri tēnei nō te Tairāwhiti.
Tangimagaone Pewhairangi is my name, I am a descendant of the East Coast.
Ā, ko ngā akoranga o te ao tawito e whakatauira ana, me pēhea tātou e hīkoi ai ki runga i te mata o te whenua.
The teaching of old exemplify how we should navigate through our lives.
Ko ngā akoranga, ko ngā wheako i akona e au, ko ngā akoranga nō te ao tawhito, e whakatauira ana i ngā mahi, me pēhea tātou e hīkoi ai ki runga ki te mata o te whenua.
The teaching and experiences that were learned by me, that is the teaching of old exemplify actions on how we should navigate through our lives.
Ā, ka hoki au ki te tari, ā, ko ngā akoranga ka whāngaihia e au ki te tari, ko te tū Ngāti Porou, ā, ao te pō, pō te ao.
When I return to the office, the knowledge I share with the office is the staunch stand of Ngāti Porou, day and night, night and day.
Ko ngā mahi kia pai ake a Ō Rangaranga, ā, kia tika te tū, kia tū Ngāti Porou, he mana taurite tā te reo Māori me ngā tikanga Māori.
Ō Rangaranga cn contribute to the appropriate bearing, to be a staunch Ngāti Poruou stalwart, the language and protocols have the same inherent value.
Kia whakaaro Māori, a Ngāi Māori. Kaua e huri tuarā ki tō ahurea Māori.
Nā reira, tēnei āhuatanga te whakatauira i ngā tikanga Māori i roto i ngā waiata i roto i ngā kōrero tuku iho ā rātou mā.
Let Māori think Māori, and not turn your back on your Māori culture. So, this circumstance is exemplified within our songs and oral narratives handed down from generation to generation.
